Man-made 50 or 60 Hz EMF signals sure make it hard to measure other signals. The DSP-523 uses patent-pending technology to ignore power lines by notching 60Hz and harmonics, or you can analyze power lines and harmonic strengths. And you can compare that reading to the overall field strength on the same screen at the same time! And it has an adjustable brightness backlight!

IGNORES POWER LINES Take accurate AC magnetic field measurements without the interference from power lines.  The picture below shows a total field strength of 186.8 mG, but this meter filters it out, leaving just 0.7 mG from other sources.

HARMONICS ANALYSIS Take measurements with just 60Hz filtered out, or take measurements with 60Hz + Harmonics filtered out, or compare the two to see the harmonic field strength.  Also take bandpass measurements at 60Hz or 60Hz + Harmonics!

50 Hz European Fields Use the meter in Europe where power lines are 50Hz instead of 60Hz?  No problem!  You can select between the two with the SAME METER!  No more having to special order a meter to work with 50 Hz fields! Accuracy is KEY Other meters that claim to ignore power lines do so at the expense of limited bandwidth.  These meters only measure changes in DC magnetic fields, so they not only ignore power lines but they ignore every other AC magnetic field as well!  Not this meter!  This meter responds to AC fields up to 300Hz, but notches out power line frequencies.  So now you can measure 40Hz, 90Hz, 100Hz, 260Hz, etc, without interference from 50/60 Hz power lines.  Great for research!
