Refractometers & Refractive Index Chart

The refractive index of a material is a measure of how much it bends light. It is defined as the ratio of the speed of light in a vacuum to the speed of light in the material. The refractive index of a liquid, such as a juice, can depend on a number of factors, including its temperature, density, and composition.
