Description

Light weight 18" Extension Adapter concentrates smoke in a can spray directly at the smoke detector test point, increasing accuracy and the number of tests you can get out of a can while reducing waste caused by environmental disturbances. The Extension Adapter is designed to fit on to the 2.5 Ounce Smoke Check™ smoke detector tester.

Please Note: Pressing the "test button" on a smoke detector tests battery strength only. The test button cannot be used to verify the smoke detector's ability to activate its alarm in the presence of smoke caused by a fire. Smoke Check™ Smoke Detector Tester was designed specifically to verify the smoke detector's proper functioning.

1. Why do I need to use the extension adapter when testing my smoke detectors? - The 18" Extension Adapter improves the efficiency of Smoke Detector Tester by concentrating the spray directly on the smoke detector. It reduces the need for a ladder or step stool when smoke detectors are only slightly out of reach. The Extension Adapter also increases the number of tests available in a can of spray by eliminating waste caused by air currents. We recommend using it for all commercial and residential applications.
   

   

   
   Please Note: If the smoke detectors being tested are part of a centrally monitored alarm system, please notify the monitoring company PRIOR to testing that a test is scheduled and for what period to prevent the local Fire Department from being unnecessarily deployed.
