Smoke Testing Without the Smoke. Safer, easy to use and non-corrosive.
The highly corrosive TiCl3 Titanium Tetrachloride Smoke Bottle (model number S101) has been replaced. Our FP smoke is a much easier, more user friendly and an environmentally safe product. You get all of these features plus the cost per test is less than half. The Titanium Tetrachloride was becoming a transportation (Hazmat - Hazardous Material) issue getting it shipped in to us, and again shipping it out to our distributors or dealers. Having gallons of Titanium Tetrachloride shipped in was not only extremely expensive, but becoming even more difficult to find carriers willing to handle it.
After several years of product testing and experimentation, a new line of Smoke in the Bottle has been launched. An environmentally safe product that is benign, easy to use, and less expensive. With the old Smoke Bottle, one would typically use a bottle each day, even if only testing one site or room. At the end of the day the unused portion would be decommissioned, whether half full or not.
The new FP Series is used in the same fashion but since it is not caustic or hazardous, simply close the cap and store it for the next use. Product can last for years when stored in dry cool location. Feedback has confirmed one bottle equals approximately 7-8 bottles of the S101, Titanium Tetrachloride . Each bottle List for $39.00 and should provide between 300 and 400 puffs of smoke, with the hand squeezable bottles FP201 and FP202. To achieve longer, larger puffs of test smoke, consider the FP220-P or the FP221-P, which are supplied with a reusable heavy duty hand pump. Refills are available also at InspectUSA.com.
