Binoculars: Nikon Stabileyes VR 14x40 (NIK-8211) ONBOARD-LAND Settings
Non-stocked item. Please allow 7 to 10 days for delivery.
Nikon's StabilEyes binocular provides the kind of stabilization needed for
such high magnification. In benign conditions with 7 or 8x binoculars, it is
relatively easy to get a large, steady image up close and personal. But as
magnification increases, this becomes a more difficult task. Eventually the
smaller field of view and more pronounced shake of a large optic can render big
binoculars a very frustrating affair.
The 14x40 StabilEyes provides 5° of stabilization in every direction, making
them actually useful in such situations as tracking a moving subject
while on a moving platform yourself. They're great for observing from airplanes,
helicopters, boats, etc. And as a completely waterproofed unit, they can be used
effectively anywhere.
- Exclusive dual mode - ONBOARD / LAND
- Exclusive Pan and Tilt Feature
- The StabilEyes is amongst the rare binoculars which accept threaded
eyepiece filters. Both polarizing and haze filters are available, each of
which prove incredibly valuable when using the binocular on or near large
bodies of water.
- 16x magnification for stable, long range glassing
- Stabilized to assist in eliminating movement from waves & vibration from
hand shake etc.
- Phase Correction Coating for incredible brightness, resolution and color
rendition
- Floats in water
- Rubber armored, waterproof & fogproof housing
- Turn & slide eyecups
- ±5 degree vibration compensation
- VR Pause feature allows temporary turnoff of stabilization, handy when
observing fast-moving subjects
- 60 to 70mm Interpupillary adjustment range
- Automatic shut-off after one minute preserves battery life
