Smoke Centurion ™ by SDI Fire is a new aerosol smoke detector tester designed to test the widest possible range of smoke detectors. It efficiently tests the functionality of smoke detectors without any dangerous flames or fumes. It can be used hand-held or with the use of an enclosed delivery dispenser offering flexibility and on-site convenience. The canned smoke is silicone free and reduces the risk of any damage or contamination to the smoke detector during testing. Smoke Centurion is an environmentally responsible choice as an ozone-safe product with a low global warming potential propellant.
Please Note: Pressing the "test button" on a smoke detector tests battery strength only. The test button cannot be used to verify the smoke detector's ability to activate its alarm in the presence of smoke caused by a fire. Smoke Centurion Smoke Detector Tester was designed specifically to verify the smoke detector's proper functioning.
Due to FEDERAL LAWS, this product cannot be shipped via US Postal Service or any other Air Method - at checkout you will only be offered UPS GROUND as the shipping method.

1. How is Smoke Centurion Canned Smoke different from other canned smoke testers on the market? Its unique silicone free formula reduces contamination of the smoke detector because it is less likely that dust or air particulates will settle on the surface. It is a cost-effective tester that helps to preserve the useful life a smoke detector. Smoke Centurion utilizes a low GWP propellant in addition to being ozone safe and free of CFCs. Its formula is approved by leading smoke detector manufacturers.
2. When is the Smoke Centurion Smoke Detector Tester used? The best protocol is a quarterly inspection of the smoke detector at least four times a year. Test and replace the batteries in the smoke detector first. Inspect, clean, and then test the smoke detector using the Smoke Centurion aerosol smoke detector tester to be sure that it is functional. Fast activation of the smoke detector makes the testing go quickly and smoothly. Maintenance and testing should be more regular for areas with a high concentration of airborne particulates. Meets UL / ULC Listed standards (per NFPA 72 par. 8-2.4.1).
3. Who uses the Smoke Centurion Smoke Detector Tester? Buying Smoke Centurion smoke detector tester in bulk wholesale lots saves your company money. Each case contains (12) 2.6oz cans. Ordering wholesale lots is the most cost effective strategy as large discounts apply.
Please Note: If the smoke detectors being tested are part of a centrally monitored alarm system, please notify the monitoring company PRIOR to testing that a test is scheduled and for what period to prevent the local Fire Department from being unnecessarily deployed.
