Disposable Alarm Test Dome (SC18) 10 Per Pack
A simple, disposable containment dome for functional testing of wall- and ceiling-mounted alarms and detectors. Stretched over the unit, the elastic edge seals against the housing and traps a small pocket of air around the sensor face — so a short burst of test aerosol or test gas reaches the sensing element at usable concentration instead of dissipating into the room. It does the same job as a rigid test cup at a fraction of the cost, and it packs flat in a tool bag.

Why Use a Test Dome
The test button on most alarms verifies the horn, battery, and circuit. It does not verify that the sensing element still detects anything. Sensors drift and expire. Introducing an actual test agent is the only way to confirm the detector still responds, and containment is what makes that practical: in open air the agent disperses before it reaches alarm threshold. The dome holds it where it needs to be.
Directions for Use
- Fit the dome fully over the alarm so the elastic seals around the housing.
- Introduce a short burst of the appropriate test agent under the edge of the dome.
- Confirm the alarm sounds.
- Remove the dome, ventilate the area, and allow the unit to clear and reset.
Never leave the dome installed on an alarm after testing. A covered alarm is a disabled alarm.
Use only test agents intended for the detector type, and follow the alarm manufacturer's instructions. This product is a functional field check. It is not a calibration and not a substitute for manufacturer-specified service or replacement intervals.
