Special Orders & Split Shipments

Many of the products we carry are stocked in our warehouse and ship the same or next business day. Some are ordered from the manufacturer as needed, and some are both — we keep a quantity on hand and order more when demand exceeds it.

How to Read Availability on a Product Page

When a product page shows a quantity in stock, that is what we have available to ship immediately. If you order more than that quantity, the balance is ordered from the manufacturer.

The product page shows the estimated ship date for that additional quantity. This date is calculated from the manufacturer's current lead time and our shipping schedule, and excludes weekends and holidays.

Ship Complete Is Our Default

When part of your order requires a manufacturer order, we hold the entire order and ship it together once all items are in hand. This keeps your order in a single shipment with a single tracking number and one shipping charge.

If You Need Part of Your Order Sooner

You can request that we ship the in-stock portion immediately and the balance when it arrives. Because this means two separate shipments, an additional shipping charge applies. Please indicate this preference at checkout.

For international orders, a split shipment requires a second set of customs documentation, duties, and brokerage fees. The additional charge is substantially higher than for domestic orders.

Quantity Pricing

Volume discounts are calculated on the total quantity ordered, not on the quantity that ships first. Ordering the full quantity in one transaction gets you the best available price on the entire quantity, whether or not the shipment is split.
