Sample collection simplified! Do-it-yourself mold or allergen sampling device. All that is needed is a household vacuum cleaner with hose attachment. This unique dust collector fits directly onto the end of the vacuum hose.
When you vacuum carpets and bare floors, the nozzle collects dust into its internal filter chamber. When finished, remove the collection nozzle, replug, and send the entire piece to your laboratory for analysis.
Hose end inside diameter, tapers from approximately 1.25" to 1.4" and should fit most standard household vacuum cleaner hose.

Basic instructions:
- Remove the Dust Collect sampling unit from the sealed bag. SAVE the bag.
- Remove the cap from each end of the sampling unit. SAVE the caps.
- Attach the large end of the sampling unit to the end of the hose on your vacuum cleaner.
- With the Dust Collect sampling unit attached to the vacuum, turn on the vacuum and drag the sampling unit over the surface to be sampled, from corner to corner. Note: Each Collector is used to isolate tested surfaces.
- Remove the Dust Collect sampling unit from the vacuum hose.
- Replace the caps on both ends of the Dust Collect sampling unit.
- Place the capped sampling unit back into the plastic bag and zip it closed.
* Take it to or send it off to your own laboratory for analysis.
Although not recommended, Dust Collector Cartridge can be used to sample dirty air; however the vacuum would have to run for the entire time of sampling (could be several hours) and the vacuum cleaner could over heat and/ or fail, due to this factor.
