This design is a compact, non-contact (infrared) thermometer with a 12:1 distance-to-spot (D:S) ratio and a wide measurement range of -40° to 1076°F. Using this IR thermometer and its unique Star Burst laser targeting system (which helps to define the size of the target area), the temperature of a target can easily and accurately be measured from a distance. This makes it possible to safely measure the temperature of very hot or cold surfaces, hard-to-reach objects and toxic substances.
