Lutron FT-9950 True RMS AC/DC Fork Current Tester, 200A

The Lutron FT-9950 measures up to 200 amps AC or DC without contact, using an open fork jaw instead of a clamp. Because the jaw never has to be opened and closed around a conductor, readings can be taken one-handed in a crowded panel where a traditional clamp will not fit. A Hall effect sensor handles both AC and DC current, and true RMS measurement gives accurate readings on non-sinusoidal loads. The tester also measures DC and AC voltage, resistance and continuity through standard test leads, and adds data hold, peak hold for transients, and a DC current zero button.

Jaw section rated CAT III 600 V, 600 A; input terminals rated CAT II 600 V. This instrument is intended for use by qualified personnel. Replacement test leads must be approved to CAT III 600 V or better.

AC current and AC voltage specifications are tested on a 50/60 Hz sine wave. Specifications are tested in an environment with RF field strength less than 3 V/m and frequency less than 30 MHz.
