Thank your customers every time they purchase from your company. It shows them that you appreciate their patronage and will distinguish you from your competition.

It's also a great practice to give your customers the opportunity to rate your company's performance, services and products. Not only does it tell your customers your company cares about their opinions, but the feedback will help to continuously improve your business.

Each thank you card has a message expressing appreciation for patronage printed inside. The messages vary slightly between card styles. A sample message is shown below.

Surveys poll the client's opinion and satisfaction with their purchase and ask for general ways to improve performance. A general marketing message is printed on the front of the card with lines to handwrite your company's return address. A mailing label could also be used for the return address.

Thank you cards, surveys and especially envelopes, should be hand written to ensure the recipient will open and read it.

Each survey requires post card postage and fits neatly into the included envelope with the thank you card. Place a first class stamp on the envelope and it is ready to be mailed.

To ensure you can track the returned surveys so you can address comments, write, in small text, a customer identification number on the back of the card.

Be sure to setup a tracking system so you know which customers were sent a thank you kit and those who responded. Be sure to send out the thank you immediately after the transaction is complete. Service companies should have their field technicians hand every customer a thank card card, with survey, after the completion of the job. The customer will be delighted, the company will know the customer received the package and you will save on first class postage.
