Dranjer FN2 Floor Drain (28047) New Installation Kit

The Dranjer FN2 is for new installations. Dranjer seals permit unrestricted flow of water into floor drains or sump pits while sealing out the entry of mold spores, insects, radon and other gases from the sub-slab floor area. The F Series Dranjer products are designed to be used in homes where ASD has been, or may be, included as a radon mitigation technique.

• These valves will not open at less than 0.9" of negative pressure yet allow for water flow.
• This valve ships with a housing that fits to standard 2" pipe and an anchor flange to set in poured concrete.
• Can be used for retro fits* (see information below).

Instructions:

1. Using PVC Solvent cement, bond housing to anchor flange and to any downstream plumbing.
2. For new floors, pour the concrete around the anchor flange/housing assembly to a level equal to the top of the anchor flange. The reverse bevel on the anchor flange will prevent the assembly from lifting out of the concrete after it is set. (For existing floors, drill or chip away a 3" diameter hole. Set the anchor flange/ housing assembly into the hole and backfill the space remaining with suitable concrete bonding compound.)
3. Install the Dranjer seal assembly into the anchor flange. For an enhanced seal, a light coating of petroleum jelly or other light grease, on the anchor flange seal, can be applied.

*If this model is being installed as a retro fit, the drain cavity must be at least 4 3/4" deep and 4 3/4" in diameter. New concrete must be poured around the retaining ring using the catch basin.
