We had a short-term (48 hr) radon test done when we bought our house in 2020 which returned a result of 3.1 pCi/L, which was below the recommended mitigation level of 4 pCi/L. However, they recommended performing a long-term test as levels can change throughout the year. We purchased this Radon Test Alpha Track Long Term Test and let it run for 332 days. The results came back with 5.8 pCi/L, which is over the recommended level of 4. This prompted us to have a radon mitigation system installed. Another short-term test is IP now, and I'm purchasing another of these long-term tests to run over the next year to make sure long-term radon levels are below the EPA recommended level. I'm very happy with this product and feel better knowing that we were able to identify an issue and remedy the situation. The order, testing, and return process for this product was easy.
