Update: the splints were made thicker, with improved quality to prevent
breakage & encourage quicker ignition
These Smoke Splints have a 10
to 20 second burn time. The smoke emitter matches produce 20 Cubic Feet of a White
to a Light Grey, non-toxic smoke. These smoke
matches provide a quick and inexpensive method of generating a small burst of smoke. A great product for testing low pressure duct-work systems and also for air balancing. The smoke
emitted does not contain oil nor zinc and will not leave any residue. It is non-toxic and has the same density as air, so that it is possible to observe
true air movements without the complicating factor of having to allow for the natural rise or fall of the smoke. The particle sizes
range from 0.3 to 2.5 microns, making it
ideal to check HEPA filters.
In this demonstration, multiple Splintax are ignited at once.
